10 Bible Verses to Refresh Your Soul // July
I have been thinking a lot about how I have only a few weeks left to relax and enjoy my summer break. As a teacher, I always find myself needing to refresh, relax, and recharge during the months of June and July. Part of my daily morning routine includes reading and reflecting upon daily readings, bible verses, and the gospel for the day, along with refreshing my soul with a daily devotional.
At the same time, however, I am seeing an endless scroll of school supplies posted on Amazon and the aisles in the back of Target are calling me back to the new school year around the corner. I am doing all I can to enjoy these summer days and think positive. I have been trying to think about thoughts and complete activities that are refreshing to my soul.
Here are a few bible verses that I have come across in the last couple of weeks about refreshing the soul. Hopefully they catch your attention, too, and help you refresh your soul and mind from whatever may be bringing you anguish or negative thoughts.
1. Romans 15;32
"So that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company."
2. Psalm 19:7
"The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."
3. 2 Corinthians 5;17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
4. Psalm 23:3
"He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake."
5. 1 John 3:3
"And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure."
6. Isaiah 40:31
"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
7. Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
8. John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
9. Jeremiah 31:25
“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
10. Exodus 23:12
“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.”
